Our client is Snap Fitness, one of the UK's leading gym brands, is re-vitalising a health and fitness destination in Darlington. They're looking for an outstanding General Manager to lead Snap Fitness Darlington, a premium fitness club that blends cutting-edge training with recovery facilities to create an exceptional member experience tailored to individual needs.
Working within a well-renowned and rapidly growing independent business, the successful candidate will shape a motivating environment where wellness and performance thrive, driving the success of Snap Fitness Darlington from day one and growing their career with a respected, fast-expanding independent business.
Key responsibilities:
Member Experience: Create unforgettable moments every day, empowering members to smash their goals and love the journey, and championing service excellence on the gym floor so every member feels valued and supported.
Leading From The Front: Be highly visible and approachable on the gym floor, setting the pace and leading by example to foster a positive, energetic environment for members and staff.
Team Development: Build and develop a high-performing team that thrives on energy and purpose, and mentor the Assistant Manager, encouraging continuous learning and professional growth.
Commercial Growth: Deliver ambitious member sales and retention strategies to exceed targets, and identify commercial opportunities such as personal training and secondary spend to ensure the club's financial success.
Community Connections: Create local events and partnerships that make Snap Fitness Darlington the heart of the community, raising its profile and fostering member engagement.
Operational Excellence: Ensure smooth day-to-day operations through smart scheduling and high standards, and proactively seek improvements while upholding brand values throughout.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Assistant Manager to align on club goals, share feedback and foster a culture of teamwork and open communication.
About you:
Background: Ideally from a premium fitness setting with a strong focus on service excellence and member experience, bringing proven expertise in both sales and operations.
Leadership: A natural leader who thrives in fast-paced settings, is confident engaging with people on the ground, and has experience leading and motivating a team.
