Geomatics Quality Control Technician

About this role

PHASOR Engineering Inc. is a dynamic Alberta based company specializing in engineering, design, and testing / commissioning of high voltage electrical facilities. Our focus is to incorporate the latest technological advances, such as IEC 61850, to provide the most cost-effective and efficient solutions to power system engineering. This focus allows us to be involved in a diverse range of projects from preliminary engineering through to the commissioning and startup.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Geomatics QC Tech to join our team on a full-time basis in our Edmonton office. We offer a dynamic work environment with an extremely experienced technical team, where you will be continuously challenged in all aspects of the engineering and design process. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and quality of geomatics deliverables for our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform quality control checks on survey data and deliverables.

· Validate and process data using industry-standard software.

· Collaborate with project teams to maintain data integrity and compliance with standards.

· Assist in troubleshooting and resolving data discrepancies.

Qualifications:

· Proficiency in Trimble Business Center is required.

· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).

· Experience with MicroSurvey and/or AutoCAD.

· Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.

· Programming experience considered an asset (e.g., Python, VBA).

· Previous experience in geomatics or surveying quality control is preferred.

Salary variations depend on factors such as qualifications, relevant years of experience, and current market conditions specific to the role.

Salary range: $60,000-$110,000 (excepted yearly earnings may vary)
