Caring Approach is a dynamic and supportive organisation providing tailored in-home support and community care for older people, individuals living with disability, and those requiring short-term assistance following hospital discharge. We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Greek Speaking Support Worker to join our growing team across Sydney. This casual position is ideal for someone passionate about providing person-centred care while supporting participants in a culturally inclusive and respectful environment. As a Greek Speaking Support Worker, you will provide high-quality care and support to clients in their homes and within the community, promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing while building meaningful relationships with participants and their families. Key Responsibilities Provide personal care and support in clients' homes. Assist with showering, grooming, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene. Complete domestic assistance including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation. Assist with medication prompting and support. Support clients with daily living activities and community participation. Transport clients to medical appointments, shopping, and social outings. Provide companionship and emotional support. Maintain accurate progress notes and required documentation. Support clients to achieve their individual goals and maximise independence. Requirements Essential Criteria Ability to communicate fluently in Greek and English. Experience in disability support, aged care, or community services (preferred). Certificate III or higher in Disability, Aged Care, or Community Services, or willingness to obtain within 12 months. Minimum six months' experience providing personal care (preferred). Understanding of person-centred care practices. Current First Aid & CPR Certificate. Current National Police Check. Current NDIS Worker Screening Check. Current Working With Children Check (WWCC). Driver's Licence and own fully insured vehicle (preferred). Smartphone capable of installing workplace applications. Appropriate Australian working rights. Completion of the NDIS New Worker Orientation Module, or willingness to complete during induction. Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently and within a team. Desirable Experience supporting elderly Greek-speaking participants. Experience supporting clients living with dementia or complex care needs. Medication administration competency. Strong understanding of culturally sensitive and inclusive care practices.
