Job Summary
We are looking for a Ground Primary Researcher to conduct field-level research across Karnataka. The role involves collecting primary information, understanding local political and social dynamics, and providing accurate ground-level insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct field research and primary data collection across Karnataka.
- Interact with local communities, stakeholders, and key individuals to gather information.
- Track political, social, and constituency-level developments.
- Conduct interviews, surveys, and field observations.
- Gather and verify ground-level information from multiple sources.
- Prepare research notes, reports, and constituency-level insights.
- Travel extensively across Karnataka as required for research assignments.
- Coordinate with the research team and share timely updates from the field.
Requirements
- Kannada speaking is mandatory.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Karnataka.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good understanding of Karnataka's political and social landscape.
- Ability to conduct interviews and collect information independently.
- Strong observation, research, and analytical skills.
- Comfortable working in the field and meeting people from different backgrounds.
Educational Preference
First Priority:
- Political Science
- Mass Communication
Candidates from other relevant backgrounds with strong field research and communication skills may also be considered.
Experience
- 0–3 years of experience in political research, field research, journalism, social research, or related areas.
- Freshers with strong communication skills and an interest in political research are also encouraged to apply.
