We specialize in helping seniors age safely and independently in their homes, while also serving busy families and homeowners who need dependable, professional help caring for their homes.

We're looking for a Handyman / Home Service Technician Assistant who is dependable, hardworking, eager to learn, and interested in developing real skills in the home services industry.

You don't need to know everything on day one. We're looking for someone with the right attitude who wants to learn.

What You'll Do

You'll work alongside experienced TruBlue technicians and learn the skills needed to build a career in residential home services.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assist with home repairs, maintenance, remodeling, and improvement projects

  • Help prepare work areas and organize tools and materials

  • Assist with demolition, installation, painting, repairs, and other project tasks

  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized jobsites

  • Help load, unload, and care for tools and materials

  • Assist with home safety and accessibility projects for seniors

  • Learn proper techniques for using tools, materials, and equipment

  • Follow instructions from experienced technicians and supervisors

  • Interact with customers professionally and respectfully

  • Represent TruBlue with a positive attitude and willingness to help

What You'll Learn

This is a hands-on opportunity to learn the home services trade from experienced professionals.

Depending on your interests and abilities, you'll have the opportunity to develop skills in:

  • Carpentry and woodworking

  • Drywall repair and patching

  • Painting

  • Flooring

  • Tile

  • General home repairs and maintenance

  • Bathroom and kitchen upgrades

  • Basic plumbing

  • Basic electrical work within the appropriate scope

  • Home safety and accessibility improvements

As your skills and experience grow, your responsibilities and opportunities can grow with them.

Who We're Looking For

You don't need years of experience to succeed in this position. We care more about your work ethic, attitude, and willingness to learn.

The ideal candidate is:

  • Dependable and punctual

  • Respectful and professional

  • Hardworking and willing to get their hands dirty

  • Interested in learning carpentry, remodeling, and home repair

  • Comfortable taking direction and working as part of a team

  • Curious and willing to ask questions

  • Proud of doing quality work

  • Comfortable working in customers' homes

  • Able to communicate professionally with customers and coworkers

  • Has a valid driver's license and reliable transportation

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

  • Has basic hand tools or is willing to build a tool collection over time (preferred, but not required)
