Key Responsibilities:                   

The Head of Transportation & Foreign Trade EMEA (f-m-d) is responsible for managing relationships with Transportation Service Providers, focusing on the following key areas:

  • Contract management;

  • Identification of efficiency gains via managing continuous improvement programs;

  • KPI management;

  • Lead the Transportation & Import/Export Teams.

More specifically, in this role, you will have end-to-end responsibility for:

  • Oversight of inbound and outbound freight activities and outbound carrier performance;

  • Ownership of the Transportation and P&L budget;

  • Lead Import/Export Strategy with the Foreign Trade Office Management;

  • Performance monitoring and cost reporting;

  • Invoice verification, control, and documentation management;

  • Transportation claims management and resolution;

  • Assist Sales Business Units to find delivery solutions to customers/consignees requests;

  • Implementation of X-docking models;

  • Identification and implementation of new transportation routes;

  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives:

  • Leading and coordinating projects across all key areas of responsibility

  • Providing support for the opening, expansion, and transfer of Distribution Centers

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in Transportation management areas

  • Solid knowledge in the Foreign Trade domain

  • Proven track record of process improvement and change management

  • Previous experience in team leading

  • Willingess to travel as required per the business (from 25% to 50%)

  • Competence Knowledge of MS-Office especially with Excel

  • Good command of English language
