Health Care Assistant - Cork City

About this role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Right at Home team in Cork. Right at Home provides quality professional home care to our clients to enable them to live independently in their own homes.

Areas we cover include: Cork City and Suburbs (such as Wilton, Bishopstown, The Lough, Ballyphehane, Douglas, Mahon, Blackrock etc)

Full-time and part-time positions are available.

Pay rates from €14.45 per hour plus travel time and mileage.

Job Summary:

  • Assisting with both personal and practical care tasks e.g. dressing, washing/bathing, light household work, meal preparation

  • Observing a clients health and wellbeing

  • Promoting a clients own independence

  • Reporting any concerns to our Supervisor team.


Required Education, Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled in or have completed a QQI Level 5 Healthcare related course (minimum of Care Skills and Care of the Older Person courses) (essential)

  • At least 1 year of relevant healthcare experience providing quality care (desirable)

  • Up-to-date patient moving & handling certificate (desirable)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (essential)

  • Reliable and trustworthy with a strong commitment to providing high levels of care (essential)

  • Full clean drivers license with own transport (essential)
