A well-established, privately owned hearing healthcare practice is seeking a Hearing Instrument Specialist to support its growing network of 13 established locations across Queens, Brooklyn, and Long Island. Rather than operating from retail storefronts, the practice's clinics are located within established medical centers, providing a consistent flow of physician referrals and an established patient base. Providers have the opportunity to work from locations that best align with their preferred geographic area and commuting distance while enjoying a collaborative healthcare environment focused on delivering exceptional patient care. Position Overview: The Hearing Instrument Specialist will provide comprehensive diagnostic hearing evaluations, hearing-aid consultations, fittings, programming, verification, and follow-up care for primarily adult patients and occasional pediatric patients ages seven and up. Practice locations are available throughout Queens, Brooklyn, and Long Island, with assignments based on provider preference and commuting distance whenever feasible. Key Responsibilities: Conduct hearing evaluations within the scope of licensure Recommend hearing aid technology based on each patient's hearing needs and lifestyle Fit, program, adjust, and troubleshoot hearing aids Provide counseling and ongoing follow-up care Perform hearing aid cleanings, maintenance, and minor repairs Take ear impressions as needed Maintain accurate patient documentation Requirements Active New York Hearing Instrument Specialist license Experience fitting and programming hearing aids Strong communication and relationship-building skills Comfortable discussing hearing technology and making treatment recommendations Benefits Salary plus bonus potential $150,000-$170,000 Flexible full-time and part-time schedules Healthcare stipend Paid time off Employee discounts Professional development assistance Relocation assistance, where applicable
