What You’ll Be Doing
As a key member of our maintenance team, you will lead and assist with critical shovel operations, ensuring our fleet remains at peak performance:
- Component change outs
- Undercarriage change outs
- Shovel splits
- Track frame change outs
- Bucket change outs
- General repair
- Maintenance and lube checks
- Work collaboratively and professionally with the crew and the client
What You Bring
- Journey-certified Heavy Duty Mechanic/HET or Millwright with an Inter-provincial Red Seal Certification
- Must have a JM Off Road or Millwright Ticket
- A minimum of 3-5 years of related experience
- Preference will be given to individuals with previous shovel and mine equipment experience
- Must be ok with working night shifts
- Driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
- Aerial Work Platform (AWP) training an asset
- Must successfully complete a site pre-access drug and alcohol test and various client orientations
- CSTS/OSSA or BSO/CSO plus various other site specific training
- Confined Space, AWP, Fall Protection are required
- Crane and Rigging experience and training is an asset
- H2S Awareness is required
- WHMIS 2015 is required
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- Great attitude towards health and safety
- Strong and independent work ethic
- Must be legally eligible to work Canada
