Position Summary
The Housekeeper maintains a sanitary, safe and clean environment and enhances the appearance of the facility. Additionally, the Housekeeper will assist with preparation for special events.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Clean client rooms and other assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing bed linens and sanitizing all surfaces.
- Replenish supplies and/or linen in client rooms as necessary or designated.
- Maintain housekeeping cart and equipment in clean, working condition and store in appropriate storage area when finished with shift.
- Ensure proper sanitation of all equipment, as required.
- Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment techniques, as required.
- Available for alternate, evening and weekend schedules and shifts may be required to meet client needs, state and regulatory agency requirements and business necessity.
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with current and former clients, client family members and referral sources.
- Comply with company’s code of conduct.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- A minimum of 1 year experience in housekeeping in a similar facility, preferred.
- Ability to work weekends and varied hours.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds and climb stairs frequently.
- Valid driver license, excellent driving record, reliable transportation and valid auto insurance.
