About this role

DOF is a world-class offshore construction support, survey and IRM contractor.

DOF is a leading provider of subsea services in all the major oil and gas production regions around the world. With world class ROVs (Remote Operated Vehicles), Survey systems, and a fleet of offshore construction vessels, the group combines expertise and technology to deliver integrated subsea solutions to the offshore oil and gas and renewables industry.

DOF Canada is currently seeking an HR Assistant (Fixed-Term) to join our Human Resources team for a period of 6 months. If you are looking for a dynamic environment to learn and grow your career, DOF Canada is a great opportunity!

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the recruitment process such as scheduling interviews, reference checks etc.;
  • Facilitate the onboarding sessions for new employees;
  • Responsible for maintaining electronic personnel files;
  • Support employee communications;
  • Assist with the work permit process for employees travelling internationally;
  • Other HR Assistant duties as assigned.

Requirements

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resource Management (or equivalent experience);
  • 2 - 3 years’ experience in the Human Resources field;
  • Strategic thinker but not afraid to roll up your sleeves to get work done;
  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced and constantly changing organization with strict deadlines;
  • Knowledge of offshore operations would be preferred, but not critical for the position;
  • Exceptional team member and lead by example with a focus on developing others and yourself;
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality at all times;
  • Organization and time management skills are essential;
  • Advanced ability with Microsoft Office products.
