About this role

About School of Coding & AI

School of Coding & AI is a fast-growing international education group delivering career-focused learning across higher education, digital skills, artificial intelligence, health, business and wider professional programmes.

We employ teams across a growing number of locations and functions, supporting learners, educational partners and communities in India, the UK and internationally.

As we continue to expand our operations in Hyderabad, we are looking for an experienced recruitment and HR professional who can help us attract talented people, provide a positive employee experience and establish consistent, compliant people practices.

About the role

The Talent Acquisition & HR Executive will take ownership of recruitment activity in India while supporting the day-to-day HR needs of our Hyderabad-based employees.

Recruitment will form the largest part of the position. You will work closely with hiring managers to understand their workforce requirements, source suitable candidates and manage vacancies from initial briefing through to offer, joining and onboarding. You will recruit across a variety of roles and will be expected to build strong candidate pipelines, maintain momentum throughout the process and provide candidates with a professional experience.

Alongside recruitment, you will support core HR operations including employee documentation, attendance and leave, probation, performance management, payroll inputs, employee queries and statutory compliance. You will help ensure that our local employment practices remain accurate, consistent and aligned with applicable Indian and Telangana employment requirements.

This role would suit an organised and proactive HR professional who enjoys recruitment, is comfortable working directly with managers and wants to develop broader generalist HR experience within a growing international organisation.

What You’ll Be Doing

Recruitment

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for roles across our Hyderabad operation, from vacancy briefing and advertising through to offer and joining.
  • Work with hiring managers to understand workforce requirements, develop accurate job descriptions and agree realistic recruitment plans.
  • Source candidates through job portals, LinkedIn, professional networks, employee referrals, educational institutions and other appropriate channels.
  • Review applications, conduct initial screening interviews and produce evidence-based shortlists for hiring managers.
  • Coordinate interviews, assessments, feedback and candidate communication, ensuring that recruitment processes move forward promptly.
  • Prepare and coordinate offers, compensation discussions, background verification, reference checks and pre-joining documentation.
  • Build talent pipelines for recurring and difficult-to-fill positions, reducing reliance on recruitment agencies.
  • Maintain accurate candidate and vacancy records within the applicant tracking system and recruitment trackers.
  • Monitor recruitment performance, including time to hire, source effectiveness, pipeline conversion, offer acceptance and joining rates.
  • Support employer-branding activity and identify ways to improve candidate attraction and the overall recruitment experience.

HR operations and employee support

  • Coordinate joining formalities, induction and onboarding, ensuring that new employees receive the information, equipment and support they need.
  • Prepare offer letters, employment documentation, confirmation letters, salary revision letters, transfer letters and other employee correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee files, HR-system records and statutory documentation.
  • Support probation reviews, attendance, leave, performance discussions and employee-development processes.
  • Provide employees and managers with clear guidance on company policies, procedures and routine people matters.
  • Support employee relations matters, including grievances, conduct, performance and disciplinary processes, escalating complex or sensitive cases appropriately.
  • Coordinate monthly payroll inputs covering new joiners, leavers, attendance, leave, salary changes, incentives and other employee changes.
  • Support compliance with applicable Indian labour codes and employment requirements, including Provident Fund, ESI, gratuity, bonus, professional tax, leave and working-time provisions where applicable.
  • Support POSH compliance, employee awareness and the maintenance of a safe, respectful and inclusive workplace.
  • Assist with employee engagement, retention, wellbeing, learning and development and other HR initiatives.
  • Prepare regular recruitment and HR reports for management, identifying emerging trends, risks and actions.
  • Work collaboratively with HR, Recruitment, Finance, Payroll and operational colleagues in India and the UK.
