Our story began during a road trip in the 1990s, where our founders, Will and Andy, travelled across America collecting vintage items while living out of motels. They started purchasing vintage clothing in the USA and selling it wholesale, which eventually led to the creation of stores. From there, they began designing reworked vintage pieces, and thus, Motel was born.
Over 30 years and a team of 200+ people later, every piece of clothing we make is created with the same spirit of fun, freedom and adventure as the road trip that first defined the brand. We’re still ambitious and independent, but now we’re a global team - we work from an operational base in Worcester, a design studio in London and a creative studio in Bali.
The role
The HR and General Affairs Administrator is responsible for supporting the HR and General Affairs Team in executing day-to-day administrative and operational tasks, ensuring employee documentation, attendance records, and office facility operations run smoothly.
Main tasks & responsibilities
General Affairs
Ensure smooth daily operations of the office, including cleanliness, security, and availability of facilities
Manage shift schedules for Security and Cleaning Service staff
Coordinate repairs, renovations, and preventive maintenance schedules
Ensure office supplies and operational needs are always available and well-maintained
Assist with employee welfare and engagement activities as directed by the manager
Human Resource Administration
Record and update employee attendance, leave, sick notes, and overtime data
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee administrative records (hard and soft copies)
Distribute Company Regulations (PP) to employees and document acknowledgement of receipt
Assist the HR team in administrative processes and document submission to relevant government institutions (BPJS, Disnaker, and others)
Support administrative processes for employee onboarding and offboarding
Assist with all HR administrative needs as directed by the manager
The above duties and responsibilities are not exhaustive and may evolve based on business needs and manager's direction.
Support Motel's sustainability initiatives by considering how our practices can improve, actively working in line with the sustainability journey of the business.
About you
Minimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's degree (S1) in any field; preference for Management, Business Administration, or Law
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in HR, GA administration, or a similar role
Understanding of Indonesian labor administration fundamentals (BPJS, PKWT, Disnaker processes)
Proficient in Google Drive, Google Sheets, and Microsoft Office
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to maintain confidentiality of employee data
Able to work independently and responsive to instructions
Familiarity with Talenta HR system is a plus
