Hr Manager

About this role

Job Summary

The HR Manager will be responsible for managing the complete employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee engagement, statutory compliance, payroll coordination, training & development, and HR operations. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in the manufacturing industry and be capable of managing both strategic HR initiatives and day-to-day HR operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for staff, engineers, supervisors, and plant workforce.

  • Develop and implement HR policies, processes, and standard operating procedures.

  • Handle employee onboarding, confirmation, transfers, promotions, and exit formalities.

  • Drive performance management, goal setting, appraisal cycles, and succession planning.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable labour laws and statutory regulations.

  • Coordinate payroll inputs, attendance, leave management, and employee records.

  • Resolve employee grievances and maintain healthy employee relations.

  • Plan and execute employee engagement, welfare, and retention initiatives.

  • Identify training needs and coordinate learning & development programs.

  • Maintain HRMIS and prepare HR dashboards, MIS reports, and analytics.

  • Support audits related to HR, ISO, statutory, and compliance requirements.

  • Work closely with department heads to plan manpower and organizational development.

  • Ensure disciplinary procedures are followed as per company policies.

  • Promote a positive workplace culture and drive HR best practices.

Desired Candidate Profile

· MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent.

· 10–12 years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in manufacturing or engineering companies.

· Strong knowledge of labour laws, statutory compliance, payroll processes, and employee relations.

· Experience handling both white-collar and blue-collar workforce.

· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.

· Hands-on experience with HRMS/ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.

· Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership abilities.

Preferred Experience

· Manufacturing, engineering, industrial, fabrication, or heavy engineering industry experience.

· Experience managing a workforce of 150+ employees.

· Exposure to ISO audits and HR compliance documentation.

· Ability to work independently and partner with business leaders.
