The Opportunity
Join Hitachi Energy as a HUB Category Manager and play a key role in building resilient, sustainable, and cost-effective supply chains that support the future of energy. In this high-impact role, you will lead sourcing strategies for assigned categories, driving value creation through strategic procurement while ensuring strong supplier performance, operational continuity, and long-term business success.
As a trusted business partner, you will collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, operations, R&D, supply chain, and commercial teams to align category strategies with organizational objectives. Your expertise in market analysis, supplier relationship management, and negotiation will help optimize costs, improve lead times, mitigate risk, and strengthen overall supply chain performance.

How You'll Make an Impact
Develop and implement category sourcing strategies that support business objectives and long-term growth.
Analyze market dynamics, supplier landscapes, spend data, and cost drivers to identify strategic opportunities.
Lead supplier negotiations and contract management activities to maximize value and ensure favorable commercial outcomes.
Align supply capabilities with business demand to support continuity, capacity planning, and operational excellence.
Drive cost optimization, productivity improvements, and risk mitigation initiatives across assigned categories.
Monitor supplier performance and lead continuous improvement plans to enhance quality, delivery, and reliability.
Partner with cross-functional teams globally to ensure sourcing strategies support operational and commercial priorities.
Support strategic initiatives, including new product introductions, bid activities, product development, and innovation programs.
Your Background
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, or supply chain management.
Strong knowledge of sourcing strategy development, supplier relationship management, and contract negotiations.
Demonstrated success influencing stakeholders and leading cross-functional collaboration in a global environment.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with experience leveraging data to drive business outcomes.
Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent are preferred.
