SOC Analyst | Pune, India | Full-time

Your Role:

As a SOC Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring, investigating, and responding to cybersecurity incidents across Vanderlande's global IT environment. You will analyze security events, identify potential threats, and work closely with internal and external security teams to protect critical business systems and infrastructure.

Join our Cyber Security team and contribute to strengthening Vanderlande's security posture through proactive monitoring, threat analysis, and incident response.

What you will do/Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate security incidents escalated by external Tier 1 SOC analysts.

  • Continuously monitor security systems, logs, and alerts to identify potential threats.

  • Perform detailed analysis of security alerts and events to determine impact and severity.

  • Respond to and mitigate cybersecurity incidents in collaboration with internal stakeholders.

  • Coordinate incident response activities with cross-functional IT and security teams.

  • Prepare detailed incident reports, root cause analysis, and security summaries.

  • Utilize security technologies including:

    • Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM)

    • IDS/IPS

    • Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR)

    • Antivirus solutions

  • Manage and maintain security platforms such as:

    • BitSight

    • Sandboxing solutions

    • Threat hunting tools

  • Monitor security controls and recommend improvements to enhance organizational security.

  • Support proactive threat detection and vulnerability identification.

  • Contribute to improving SOC processes and incident response procedures.

  • Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to resolve security vulnerabilities.

  • Stay current with emerging cyber threats, attack techniques, and security best practices.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the Security Operations Center.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

  • 6+ years of experience in Security Operations, Incident Response, or Cyber Security Analysis.

  • Strong understanding of:

    • Cybersecurity principles

    • Threat detection and incident response

    • Security operations processes

  • Hands-on experience with:

    • SIEM platforms (Microsoft Sentinel preferred)

    • IDS/IPS

    • Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR)

    • Firewalls

    • Antivirus solutions

    • Security monitoring tools

  • Good knowledge of:

    • Networking protocols

    • Operating systems

    • Attack vectors

    • Security vulnerabilities

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Flexible to work in rotational shifts or flexible working hours.

Preferred Certifications

  • CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)

  • GIAC Certifications

  • CompTIA Security+
