About this role
We are looking for an experienced IFRS 9 ECL professionals for a banking project. The candidate will support Expected Credit Loss assessment, financial reporting, audit-related requirements, and IFRS 9 compliance activities. Key Responsibilities Support IFRS 9 Expected Credit Loss calculation, review, and reporting activities. Analyze credit risk data, impairment models, and ECL-related assumptions. Review staging, PD, LGD, EAD, macroeconomic overlays, and model outputs. Coordinate with internal teams, auditors, finance, risk, and compliance departments. Ensure IFRS 9 calculations and reports are aligned with audit and regulatory requirements. Prepare documentation, working papers, schedules, and audit support files. Identify gaps, validate data accuracy, and recommend process improvements. Support month-end, quarter-end, or project-based financial reporting requirements. Requirements 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in banking, audit, finance, or credit risk. Strong hands-on experience in IFRS 9 – Expected Credit Loss (ECL). Prior audit experience is mandatory. Must be ACCA / CPA qualified. Strong knowledge of banking financial reporting and impairment assessment. Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills. Must be locally available in Qatar with a valid Qatar Residency Permit. Immediate joiners preferred.
