School Social Worker | Illinois | Full-Time | 2026–2027 School Year Support Students. Strengthen Connections. Make an Impact. Our organization is partnering with an Illinois school district to recruit a compassionate and student-focused School Social Worker for the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time opportunity is ideal for a professional who is passionate about helping students navigate academic, behavioral, social, and emotional challenges while creating a positive school experience. As a School Social Worker, you’ll provide direct support to students and help identify barriers that may affect their academic performance, behavior, attendance, or overall well-being. You’ll work closely with educators, families, administrators, and related service professionals to develop appropriate interventions and connect students with resources that promote success. Brief overview: Provide individual and group social-emotional support based on student needs. Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop student-centered interventions and support plans. Participate in IEP meetings and contribute social work expertise to educational planning. Monitor student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and connect students and families with appropriate school and community resources. Requirements Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program. LCSW or LSW may be preferred depending on district requirements. Experience working with children or adolescents in a school or educational setting is preferred. Knowledge of social-emotional development, behavioral interventions, and student support services. Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with the appropriate School Social Worker endorsement.
