Responsibilities
What you will do
- Transports bed, stretcher, and wheelchair patients in a safe, professional manner, following HIPPA and handoff compliance
- Uses double identifiers on every patient per The Joint Commission regulations for patient safety
- Orders and receives weekly radiology supplies
- Picks up and delivers requisitions, specimens, and other materials within the facility
- Assists with stocking and cleaning of rooms, puts away supplies correctly
- Reports faulty equipment, hazardous conditions and/or incidents to supervisor for follow up
- Returns equipment to designated storage area and maintains transport equipment. Cleans, deodorizes, and disinfects equipment as needed
- Maintains O2/suction supplies as required per facility
- Utilizes all Corporate Radiology computer systems effectively and accurately
- Delivers mail interdepartmentally as needed
- Adheres to Baptist Health’s mission statement and strategic imperatives
- Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Baptist Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards
- Maintains compliance with all Baptist Health policies and procedures, department guidelines, and education requirements
- Attends meetings and in-services as required
- Maintains knowledge and skill level necessary to provide care appropriate to the patients age and status
- Responsible for professional growth.
Qualifications
Experience:
- None
- BLS/Healthcare Provider certification within 3 months of hire
Highly Preferred: Radiology Tech student with some educational/clinical experience
