Axle is seeking a Part-Time Immunologist to join our vibrant team at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) supporting the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) located in Bethesda, MD.

Position Information:

 

Provide scientific staffing support for the Division of Intramural Research (DIR), National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID)

Deliverables:

 

  • Meet with lab members to present updates - Weekly

 

Statement of Work Details:

 

  • See patients charts and data in the Clinical Center; review charts, laboratory results, write notes, and maintain patient files. - 1
  • Participate in weekly meetings and clinical rounds as applicable. - 2
  • Participate and attend professional meetings associated with patients and clinical studies, including possible travel with approval from task leader. - 3
  • Designs and performs original immunological research.

  • Conduct and evaluate diagnostic tests, balancing risks and benefits to establish treatment plans and conducting immunological therapies.

  • Evaluates, tests and implements new processes, methodologies and tools for complex immunological testing and research.

  • Documents research findings and maintains accurate logs and records of all experimental activities and outcomes.

  • Consult with and help represent DIR OD program interests as requested by task leader.

  • Provides subject matter expertise to senior scientists and program executives.

  • Prepares results of experimental findings for presentation and publication.

  • Produce final reports and presentations of experiments and findings for distribution internally among researchers and senior administrators.

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
