At Sulzer, we're embarking on an exciting journey from traditional Business Intelligence towards Artificial Intelligence-powered solutions. We're looking for an experienced Inhouse Consultant BI & Analytics to join our Global IT BI & Analytics team in Madrid and help drive our data-driven transformation.
This is not a pure IT development role. We are looking for someone who can combine strong technical expertise with business consulting skills, building trusted relationships with senior leaders across the business while delivering innovative analytics solutions.
What You'll Be Doing
As part of our global BI & Analytics team, you will work closely with business stakeholders across Sulzer to understand challenges, identify opportunities, and deliver solutions that drive better decision-making.
Key responsibilities include:
Partnering with business leaders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable analytics solutions
Designing, developing and enhancing enterprise BI applications using Qlik Sense
Delivering meaningful insights and dashboards that support strategic and operational decision-making
Working with Snowflake and modern data platforms to create trusted, scalable data solutions
Supporting Sulzer's "One Sulzer" harmonisation strategy through standardised reporting and analytics
Driving self-service analytics and data literacy across the organisation
Exploring and implementing emerging technologies including AI, Generative AI, Copilots and Agentic AI solutions
Building intelligent applications and data products that connect to Sulzer's modern data platform
Collaborating with Data Engineering teams to develop robust data models and scalable solutions
Acting as a trusted advisor to both business and IT stakeholders globally
Essential Skills & Experience
Minimum 5 years' experience in a Business Intelligence, Analytics or Inhouse Consulting role
Strong hands-on experience with Qlik Sense
Advanced SQL skills
Experience working with senior business stakeholders
Strong business consulting and stakeholder management skills
Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical solutions
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Highly Desirable
Experience with Snowflake
Knowledge of modern data warehousing concepts
Experience with dbt
Exposure to Power BI, Tableau or Looker
Experience in AI, Generative AI, Copilots or emerging analytics technologies
Experience working within an international or global organisation
