Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Travel to out-of-area jobsites and install pre-engineered buildings, large scale skylights, wall systems and canopies. Jobs can last from a few days to a few months. Usually, 1 to 2 weeks depending on the size and scope of the project.  All crews return home every two weeks if the job requires more than 1 trip.

  • Install building components such as doors, windows and operable roof systems.

  • Perform construction related tasks including aluminum frame construction, roofing systems, gutter installation as well as glass and wall systems.

  • Safely use an assortment of hand and power tools for various installations and demo work.

  • Read and understand the blueprints and schematics for the tasks at hand and accurately follow measurements and specifications.

  • Operate large jobsite equipment such as boom lifts, extended reach forklifts and scissor lifts (training and certifications provided if needed).

  • The ability to work and communicate effectively with crew members is essential to provide a safe and productive worksite

  • Practice good housekeeping to help maintain a safe and productive job site.

  • Participate in ongoing safety and skills training programs to stay updated on new procedures in safety and construction.

Qualifications

  • Construction experience is preferred but not required as we will train.

  • Experience with hand and power tools preferred but not required.

  • Experience operating construction equipment preferred but not required.

  • Ability to lift up to and occasionally more than 50 lbs.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

  • The ability to fly commercially. Real ID or Passport.

  • Must pass a pre-employment drug and background check.

  • Must be able to work 40-60 hours per week (including travel).

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, work at elevated levels, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Ability to work safely  around moving machinery and equipment.

  • Ability to use hands and fingers to operate tools.

Work Environment

  • Outdoors mostly, but work in manufacturing when not on an out of area assignment

  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as designated by company policy.
