Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking a motivated Finance Intern to join our team for a three-week internship supporting our Finance and Accounting team. This internship is ideal for a student currently pursuing a degree in Finance who is looking to gain hands-on experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and day-to-day business operations within the aerospace and defense industry.
Working alongside experienced finance professionals, you'll assist with budget tracking, financial reporting, data analysis, and other administrative and analytical tasks that support business operations. This is an excellent opportunity to apply classroom knowledge in a professional environment while gaining exposure to corporate finance processes.
Where You’ll Make an Impact
- Assist with budget tracking, reconciliation, and reporting activities
- Support the preparation and maintenance of financial spreadsheets and budget documents
- Help collect, organize, and analyze financial data for management reporting
- Assist with expense tracking and variance analysis
- Support finance team members with ad hoc reporting and special projects
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and other administrative finance tasks as needed
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business and finance operations
What It Takes
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance (required)
- Rising sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student in good academic standing
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work collaboratively
Nice-to-Have Experience
- Coursework in corporate finance, accounting, budgeting, or financial analysis
- Experience with Excel functions such as PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and basic formulas
- Familiarity with financial reporting or budgeting concepts
- Experience using data visualization or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI)
- Previous internship, campus leadership, or work experience demonstrating analytical and organizational skills

Location: Rockville, MD
Base Pay: $22.00 per hour
The base pay for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors. Actual offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
Additional Requirements
To comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including ITAR, applicants must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual per 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
