[What the role is]
The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the management and growth of the PA Youth CERT programme. By the end of the internship, the intern is expected to have achieved the below.
Programme Management — Assist the team in overseeing the day-to-day administration of the PA Youth CERT programme, including the coordination of programme activities and provision of logistical support where required.
Strategic Ideation & Youth Outreach — Contribute to structured ideation efforts aimed at developing initiatives and strategies to increase youth participation and interest in the PA Youth CERT programme, with due consideration given to the interests and preferences of the target demographic.
Creative Content Production — Conceptualise and develop creative content across relevant platforms and formats (e.g. social media, digital collaterals, promotional materials) to effectively publicise the PA Youth CERT programme and enhance its visibility among youth audiences.
[What you will be working on]
- Facilitate and coordinate projects and programmes with Grassroots Organisations (GROs), volunteers, and community partners to broaden residents' outreach and deepen community engagement through Emergency Preparedness (EP) initiatives.
- Support the coordination of the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) movement, encompassing the following areas:
- Assist in the management of the Youth CERT movement, including liaison with community partners, coordination of programme activities, and maintenance of the Youth CERT event calendar.
- Handle recruitment enquiries, support the administration of CERT training sessions, and ensure accurate upkeep of the CERT volunteer database.
- Coordinate and facilitate the deployment of CERT volunteers at key national events, including Chingay, National Day Parade, and other major community activations
- Contribute to the development of creative content and outreach strategies aimed at raising awareness of the Youth CERT programme and attracting youth participation.
- Participate in brainstorming and ideation sessions to develop initiatives that enhance the appeal and accessibility of the Youth CERT programme among youth audiences.
