This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end processing of unit trust and PRS transactions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent service delivery to investors and distribution partners. The successful candidate will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to resolve operational issues, maintain regulatory compliance, and support daily operational controls. The role also offers opportunities to contribute to system enhancements, process improvements, and new business initiatives that drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and review Unit trust and PRS transactions, including subscriptions, redemptions, switches, transfers, withdrawals, and account maintenance requests.
Ensure transactions are processed accurately within established service level agreements (SLAs).
Perform daily operational controls and reconciliations to ensure data integrity and completeness.
Investigate and resolve transaction discrepancies and operational exceptions promptly.
Monitor outstanding cases and follow up with relevant parties to ensure timely closure.
Prepare operational reports, management information, and regulatory submissions.
Maintain proper records and supporting documentation in accordance with regulatory retention requirements.
Attend to operational enquiries from internal stakeholders, distributors, agents, branches, institutional clients, and service providers.
Liaise with transfer agents, fund managers, trustees, banks, and custodians on operational matters.
Provide guidance and support on operational procedures, documentation requirements, and service-related matters.
Ensure prompt resolution of issues while maintaining excellent service standards.
Ensure compliance with Securities Commission (SC) guidelines, EPF requirements, AML/CFT regulations, FATCA/CRS obligations, and internal policies.
Perform reviews and checks on account opening documentation and investor information.
Escalate operational risks, control gaps, and potential compliance breaches to management on a timely basis.
Participate in audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory reporting exercises.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Banking, Economics, Accounting, or related disciplines
3 to 5 years of experience in unit trust, wealth management, operations, or related financial services.
Understanding of investment products, including Unit Trust and Private Retirement Scheme (PRS).
Familiarity with regulatory requirements issued by Securities Commission Malaysia (SC), EPF, and AML/CFT guidelines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Experience with transfer agency platforms and wealth management systems is preferred.
