As our next IT Engineer you will be responsible for providing hands-on technical support and maintenance of IT infrastructure within an automotive manufacturing environment. This includes supporting end-user devices, managing network and server hardware, and ensuring the reliability and security of IT systems. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site setting.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide first- and second-level support for hardware, software, and network issues across the manufacturing facility.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT equipment.
- Support infrastructure components including servers, switches, routers, and wireless access points.
- Monitor system performance and respond to alerts and incidents in a timely manner.
- Assist with patch management, backups, and system updates.
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT assets, configurations, and support activities.
- Collaborate with corporate IT teams on infrastructure projects and system rollouts.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies and procedures.
- Provide technical guidance and training to end-users.
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in IT support or infrastructure operations, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking concepts.
- Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and remote desktop tools.
- Familiarity with IT ticketing systems and ITIL practices.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, Cisco) are a plus.
Bonus Points If You Have
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or Cisco
- Experience with CMDB or IT asset management tools
- Exposure to cybersecurity or compliance‑driven IT environments
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, and equipment handling
- Manual dexterity for working with cables, tools, and small components
- Comfortable working in manufacturing plants, including production areas and server rooms
Safety Requirements
- Compliance with all company safety and cybersecurity policies
- Use of appropriate PPE when working in production or technical areas
- Participation in safety training and prompt reporting of hazards or incidents
