Job Summary · The purpose of the role is to ensure the smooth day-to-day ICT operations, while developing the information systems by the subsidiary developmental projects and in line with the Group IT and security policies. · The jobholder will be responsible for ensuring that the hardware and software used by our company is compatible, secure, and scalable. He/she will also be responsible for managing our internal network and providing IT support for our staff. Responsibilities Department and team Management · Manage and supervise the IT department. · Establish, measure, and define IT goals and maintain an IT development roadmap. · Take charge of defining and monitoring the departmental budget as well as the Company IT budget. · Analyze resource utilization and develop strategies to optimize performance. Security, safety, and compliance · Create, implement, maintain network security, disaster recovery, and IT infrastructure policies. Test the organization's data backups and disaster recovery procedures on a regular basis. · Manage and maintain, on a continuous basis, the company's hardware, software, equipment, and network components, including timely software renewals and updates. · Establish a security policy to protect company information and resources. · Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards. Support · Provide Level 1 technical support and assistance to end-users who interact with the ERP systems SAP, Navision, Syspro, Synertrade, TALO, SAGE, Fleetwave, Pamoja Apps, Acacia System), addressing their questions, issues, and training needs. · Carry out periodic meetings with the business users to ensure customer satisfaction. · Direct the activities of the help desk to ensure the IT needs of users are met. · Ensure provision of IT shared services as per agreed SLAs with various group companies. · Provide support for the various ERPs and ensure availability of the same. · Collaborate and implement projects and updates as guided by head office. Vendor Management · Collaborate with vendors and service providers to address issues, obtain support, and negotiate contracts or service level agreements. · Manage outsourced resources by ensuring that work is delivered as per contract SLA. Training and User Education · Conduct training sessions and create user guides to help end-users effectively navigate and utilize the ERP system Other responsibilities · Plan and oversee with the support of the Finance department computer system installations and maintenance, manages vendor relationships, negotiates contracts, and ensures SLA compliance. · Monitor and analyze the success of IT initiatives and projects and continually develop and evaluate new technologies and tools for the company · Manage development projects to integrate new technologies into existing systems · Any other responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time Requirements Knowledge and Experience Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, or a related field Professional certifications preferred -,CISM,CISA, CCNA,CCNP Experience managing on-premises servers, storage area networks (SAN), and network-attached storage (NAS) devices Five (5) years of relevant work experience Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Knowledge of industry-standard computer hardware and software systems Experience with network administration (Cisco certification a plus) Experience managing on-premises servers, storage area networks (SAN), and network-attached storage (NAS) devices Familiarity with our software platforms including Microsoft 365
