Main Responsibilities for IT Technical Assistant
Hardware & Repairs
- Diagnose hardware issues on laptops, desktops, printers, UPS, and related IT equipment.
- Replace faulty components such as LCDs, keyboards, batteries, RAM, SSDs, palmrests, hinges, and chargers.
- Perform workshop repairs and testing before returning equipment to clients.
- Carry out preventive maintenance on IT equipment.
- Handle basic printer troubleshooting and maintenance.
Software & Configuration
- Install and configure Windows operating systems and drivers.
- Configure Microsoft Office, Outlook, OneDrive, printers, and standard business applications.
- Perform virus scans, malware removal, and system cleanups.
- Prepare and deploy new laptops for clients.
- Assist in monitoring updates and maintenance on managed devices.
Data & Backup Tasks
- Perform data backup and transfer between devices.
- Ensure antivirus checks are completed before transferring client data.
- Handle cloning, backup verification, and restoration tasks when required.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of client data.
Workshop & Ticket Management
- Update tickets, timesheets, and intervention notes accurately.
- Follow workshop procedures and repair processes.
- Maintain proper labeling and organization of equipment in the workshop.
- Assist in tracking devices awaiting repair or collection.
- Ensure interventions are properly documented.
Customer Service
- Communicate professionally with clients regarding repairs and recommendations.
- Explain technical issues in a simple and understandable way.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude.
- Work closely with the service desk and technical teams.
Requirements
- Certification in IT, Computer Hardware, Networking, or related field.
- Experience in computer hardware repairs and troubleshooting.
- Good understanding of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office.
- Basic networking knowledge is an advantage.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote support tools is an advantage.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Organized, proactive, and able to work under pressure.
- Valid driving license

Working Conditions
• Hours of Work: 08:30 – 17:00, Monday to Friday
• Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications
