As an entry‑level technical writer, you understand that quality content depends on structured organization, attention to detail, and a commitment to established standards. You also know that even the most complex doctrinal, educational, or terminology material becomes useful only once it is accessible, easy to navigate, and aligned with approved formatting guidance.
As a Technical Writer at Booz Allen, you will support senior editors and subject matter experts by performing essential document preparation tasks—editing basic errors, applying formatting standards, reviewing content for clarity, and ensuring alignment with approved terminology. You will help maintain consistency across Joint Doctrine publications, terminology products, and related Joint Staff knowledge tools. You’ll learn to apply joint doctrine editorial standards and support workflows that keep content accurate, professional, and ready for publication.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $43,700.00 to $89,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
