Methys Group is looking for a Junior Copywriter to join our team based in Century City, Western Cape, South Africa. Responsibilities · Creating and executing content strategy for all the Methys group entities: daily social media, weekly newsletters, weekly blogs, weekly podcasts, and regular press releases · Assist with social media and web channels to amplify content · Creating content for all AfricArena’s digital platforms: website, startup portal, AfricArena Wired mobile app (articles, weekly Wired newsletters) · Using the designated Brand Guidelines - designing all materials used for communication, and overall brand auditing and ensuring consistency across all communication channels. · Liaising with media on distributing content such as press releases · Playing a key role in authoring qualitative research reports on tech innovation and investment trends in the African ecosystem Requirements Requirements · Graduated with a Bachelor degree or Diploma in Media studies, Marketing, Public Relations · 1-2 years of proven experience in writing copy for digital and non-digital · A successful experience in a similar role in a media, agency or content intensive startup is a must, with a preference with exposure to the technology sector · Excellent copy writing skills · Great interpersonal, presentation and communication skill · Proficient in G-Suite applications (Docs, sheets, email, and others) · Proficient in the use of CRMs (MailChimp preferred, but any other credible platforms are considered) · Very comfortable in updating web and app content through CMS platforms · Experience in qualitative research. · Autonomous, organized and ability to manage several parallel projects. · Passionate about story-telling, community building, networking Benefits Why Join Us The Benefit of joining our Methys Team is that you will be working in a vibrating environment, with a multicultural team operating in various countries (Europe, Tunisia and SA).
