Job Summary:
The Junior Engineer – Structural / Finishings will support daily execution of civil structural and finishing activities at the site. The role includes assisting senior site engineers and supervisors in performing inspections, following up with labor teams, and learning Mivan technology applications. This position is ideal for entry-level engineers aiming to build expertise in high-rise residential construction.
Key Responsibilities:
🏗️ Structural Execution Assistance
- Assist in supervision of Mivan shuttering, reinforcement, and concreting
- Observe and learn the cycle time, alignment checks, and pour sequencing
- Report any material or manpower shortages to the site supervisor or engineer
🧱 Finishing Support
- Assist in managing wall putty, tiling, flooring, painting, and other finishing works
- Ensure Mivan wall surfaces are prepared properly before finishing (groove cutting, joint treatment, etc.)
- Check finishing quality and report issues to the concerned engineer
🔄 Site Coordination
- Follow up with labor teams and contractors for task completion
- Coordinate basic tasks with the MEP, QA/QC, and planning teams
- Participate in tool/material handling and pre-activity checks
✅ Quality & Safety Compliance
- Ensure work is performed safely, using PPE and following site protocols
- Carry out visual checks and maintain daily quality logs
- Learn and support the use of checklists and inspection protocols
📋 Documentation & Learning
- Maintain daily work diaries, site photos, and measurement sheets
- Prepare progress updates and assist in material tracking
- Support the team in billing, documentation, and reporting as needed
Qualifications:
- Diploma or B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
- Interest or prior exposure to Mivan technology is a plus
Key Skills:
- Basic understanding of civil construction techniques
- Willingness to learn Mivan and high-rise construction practices
- Good communication and ability to follow technical instructions
- Teamwork, time management, and a proactive attitude
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Excel, or construction apps is an advantage
