Junior Project Coordinator

Riche Terre, MauritiusFull-timeEntry · 0-2 yearsH1B likely

About this role

As Junior Project Coordinator, you'll support the PMO team with day-to-day coordination of client onboarding projects and lower-complexity initiatives — working closely with the PMO Lead and Project Managers to keep projects organized, on track, and well-documented. This is a growth-track role: with training and mentorship, you'll build toward independently owning small-to-medium projects.
What We’re Looking For:
•  Strong organizational skills and attention to detail — prior internship, coordination, or administrative experience is a plus but not required
•  A proactive, eager-to-learn mindset; comfortable asking questions and following structured processes
•  Clear, professional written and verbal communication
•  Comfortable working with spreadsheets/trackers; exposure to tools like Smartsheet, Jira, or Odoo is a plus
•  Interest in pursuing a project management career path (PMP down the line) — not required at hire
Core Responsibilities:
•  Coordinate and support client onboarding projects end-to-end under PM/PMO Lead guidance
•  Maintain project trackers, schedules, and documentation (RAID logs, status trackers, meeting notes)
•  Schedule and help facilitate kick-off, status, and closure meetings; capture and distribute minutes/action items
•  Follow up with internal stakeholders and clients on outstanding action items and blockers
•  Support the PM team with administrative and reporting tasks across active projects
•  Flag risks/issues to the assigned PM or PMO Lead — not expected to resolve independently
•  Learn and progressively take on greater ownership as competency grows (structured growth path, not open-ended scope)

🌍 Exposure to multi-departmental IT projects from day one and international projects in the long run.
💡 Direct mentorship from the PMO Lead and PMs
