About this role

Overview

Helio Health is on a mission to treat and promote recovery from the effects of substance use, mental health disorders, and other behavioral healthcare issues. To support the mission of Helio Health we are looking to hire an experienced and insightful Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) who will be responsible for the general healthcare and wellbeing and addiction treatment of our patients.

 

The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) will work on a Per Diem basis out of Helio Health’s 65 bed OASAS licensed Inpatient Rehabilitation/Detox facility located in Syracuse, NY, providing medical examination/evaluations, order lab work and diagnostic testing, medically assess level of care, make appropriate medical referrals, and to assist staff in understanding patients' medical issues and needs.

 

 

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will work Per Diem On Site Evenings and Weekends with some on call coverage out of Helio Health’s Syracuse Inpatient Program.

 

 

Pay: $70.00/hr. to $72.00/hr.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care of medical examination and monitoring, implementation of medical orders.
  • Serve on special review and quality assurance committees as assigned.
  • Provide and document medical consultation, assessment, examination, treatment planning and review consistent with agency policy and requirements.
  • Other related assignments and duties consistent with training and experience.

Qualifications

  • Must be a Nurse Practitioner (FNP) licensed and currently registered by the New York State Education Department.
  • At least one year of experience in the treatment of mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Must be able and willing to prescribe all available Medical Assisted Treatment (MAT) options.
  • Have prescriptive authority and DEA number.

Salary and hourly compensation ranges are provided in accordance with NYS law and are based on Helio Health's good faith belief of what is accurate at the time of posting. Salary and hourly compensation offers are based on candidate's education level and experience relevant to the position and also take into account information provided by the hiring manager and program.
