Your Role
As a Lab Assistant – Milk Quality Testing, you'll play a critical role in ensuring that only the highest-quality milk reaches our consumers. Working at our Bulk Milk Cooling (BMC) Centres, you'll conduct quality tests, maintain laboratory standards, and collaborate with farmers to promote better milk quality practices.
What You'll Do
🧪 Ensure Milk Quality
- Perform daily milk quality tests including:
- Fat & SNF Analysis
- MBRT
- Adulteration Detection
- Preservative Testing
- Antibiotic Residue Testing
- Ensure accurate and reliable test results before milk is accepted for processing.
📋 Maintain Quality Records
- Record and maintain milk quality data accurately.
- Prepare daily reports and share findings with the BMC In-charge.
- Support traceability through proper documentation.
⚙️ Operate Laboratory Equipment
- Handle milk testing equipment such as Ekomilk Analyzer, lactometer, and other testing instruments.
- Perform routine calibration and maintenance to ensure testing accuracy.
🧼 Uphold Hygiene & Food Safety
- Keep the laboratory and testing equipment clean, organised, and sanitised.
- Follow food safety and quality protocols at every stage of milk handling.
🤝 Work with Dairy Farmers
- Educate farmers about milk quality parameters.
- Guide them on best practices for milk handling, hygiene, and storage.
- Build strong relationships that help improve milk quality at the source.
✅ Follow Quality Standards
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and SID'S FARM quality standards.
Who We're Looking For
Education
- Diploma in Dairy Technology / Food Technology
- B.Sc. Chemistry preferred
- Any Graduate with an interest in dairy quality is welcome to apply
Experience
- Experience in milk testing or laboratory operations is an advantage.
- Freshers with relevant educational backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Skills
- Basic knowledge of milk testing techniques and laboratory equipment
- Strong analytical and observation skills
- Good documentation and record-keeping ability
- Effective communication in the local language
- Attention to detail and a quality-first mindset
Work Environment
- Work from SID'S FARM Bulk Milk Cooling (BMC) Centres.
- Availability during morning and evening milk procurement hours is essential.
- Willingness to work in rural locations and travel locally when required.
What We Offer
💰 In-hand Salary: ₹15,000 – ₹18,000 per month
