Job Description:

The primary purpose of this position is to oversee repair and installation of equipment and systems handled by the IT Field Services Team.  Will assist in the oversight of technicians including work distribution, planning and quality assurance inspection.  The incumbent may lead projects and work in cross-functional teams on larger projects and provide training to field technicians.  The incumbent is required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with our policies and applicable laws.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accountable to solve high complex issues often by applying new approaches in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Complete a variety of complex tasks on a regular basis.
  • Accountable to solve routine issues and perform routine tasks using well documented methods and techniques.
  • Work beyond the routine utilizing specialized knowledge of systems and resources. Exercise judgement within scope of responsibility to solve complex issues of various kinds.
  • Perform task with a limited number or variables.
  • Repair and install company hardware and software.
  • Ability to troubleshoot advanced hardware.
  • Exercise the ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Maintain assigned company property in good working order including but not limited to company vehicle, computer and cell phone as well as maintain a good driving record. Ensure that field services technicians properly complete and maintain work orders, procedures and other system or installation documentation within their area of responsibility.
  • Ability to make adequate solutions as they have an impact on the business needs.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:

Associate degree or bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Electronics or Computer Technology Information Systems plus three (3) years' related work experience or eight (8) years of related progress and responsibility experience as well as project leadership knowledge.

Certificates, Licenses, and/or Registrations

This position requires a valid driver’s license.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The associate is:

  • Regularly required to do the following activities:
  • Use hands to finger, handle, and/or feel; the ability to type, pick, pinch with fingers, seize, hold, grasp or turn with hands, and perceive attributes of objects and materials, such as size, shape, temperature, or texture, by touching with fingertips.
  • Perform continuous operation of a personal computer for four hours or more.
  • Maintain balance while walking, standing, crouching, or bending low to the floor.
  • Twist upper torso.
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl.
  • Reach up and out with hands and arms.
  • Lift up to sixty-five (65) pounds and carry a distance of fifteen (15) feet.
  • Push and/or pull up to sixty-five (65) pounds a distance of ten (10) feet.
  • Frequently required to walk about.
  • Occasionally required to do the following activities:
  • Climb stairs and/or ladders.
