The Opportunity
The Opportunity:
On high-profile and cross-border initial public offerings and listings, our Corporate practice provide our clients with multijurisdictional advice and proven technical expertise to ensure compliance with evolving regulatory practices. We are at the forefront of regulation and practice and in constant dialogue with regulatory bodies.
We are looking for legal assistants to join our Greater China Corporate team. You will be supporting the Corporate partners and associates on the implementation of transaction, tasks will include transaction, process and document management; business development support; and document drafting.
Skills, experience and qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will be/have:
- An excellent academic record, strong communication skills and a high level of attention to detail are also required to be effective in this role;
- Previous internship/work experience in verification, due diligence interviews in IPOs/ an interest in initial public offerings and listings and public company M&A;
- An ability to deliver excellent client service that includes excellent administrative skills, ability to communicate well in oral and written form, driven to deliver work promptly, sets themselves challenging goals and resilient in achieving them;
- Fluency in English and Mandarin required (spoken and written);
- Flexible approach to working hours.

The firm's representative offices in China remain registered as Herbert Smith Freehills LLP Beijing Representative Office (UK) and Herbert Smith Freehills LLP Shanghai Representative Office (UK) with the PRC Ministry of Justice. We are in the process of updating our name in China which is pending regulatory approval.
