Position Summary:
The Legal Operations Specialist is a key member of F5's Office of the General Counsel, reporting to the Sr. Manager, Legal Operations. This role partners with attorneys, legal professionals, vendors, and business stakeholders across multiple locations to support legal technology, financial operations, knowledge management, training programs, and department operations. The position helps drive operational efficiency, adoption of legal tools, and a consistent, high-quality experience across the global legal team.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and client-service focused, with strong communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Success in this role requires professionalism, sound judgment, collaboration, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity and discretion while helping the legal team work more efficiently and effectively.
Primary Responsibilities:
E-Billing Platform Support: Assist with legal e-billing platform operations, including matter setup, invoice processing and workflows, budget and accrual tracking, user support, and reporting.
Enterprise Legal Training Platform Support: Coordinate legal training launches, manage training platform support, prepare reporting, and assist team members with access, completion, and follow-up needs.
Legal Team Education Platform: Administer the online legal education platform, manage user access, promote course awareness, and support ongoing education for the legal team.
CLM Operational Support: Provide operational support for the Legal Operations CLM team and attorney users as needed, including tool support, process assistance, issue coordination, and contract signatures.
Collaboration Tools: Oversee organization and maintenance of shared collaboration tools and resources, including SharePoint sites, Teams channels, and Outlook distribution lists, ensuring efficient team communication and documentation management.
Dashboard & Reporting Support: Maintain and update standard dashboards and reports within Legal Operations tools, track key metrics and trends, and prepare recurring reporting.
Support rate reviews and vendor onboarding, track outside counsel guidelines, addressing law firm questions related to matters and invoicing, and assisting with quarterly budgeting, monthly accruals, financial reporting, dashboard updates, purchase order tracking, and other financial management activities.
Knowledge Management: Document legal operations processes, maintain legal document version control, and help legal team members use tools, templates, and technology effectively through guides and resource documentation.
Training Calendar & Roadmap: Coordinate the legal training schedule and roadmap in partnership with Legal Operations and practice team stakeholders.
Communications: Prepare clear team communications, including announcements, instructions, reminders, helpful tips, and legal operations updates.
Legal Service Enablement: Oversee day-to-day office operations for Seattle-based legal team, including mail distribution, package management, travel and expense coordination, purchasing support, printing and scanning, and document execution (signatures, notarizations, legalizations). Serve as backup support to the General Counsel’s Executive Assistant as needed.
Onboarding & Team Support: Coordinate new hire onboarding logistics including workspace set up, provide training on office equipment and systems (copier, printers, etc), orient team members to office locations and resources, and serve as first point of contact for onboarding questions and support needs.
Team Event Execution: Play a key role in planning and executing on-site and off-site legal team events, including logistics, coordination, and day-of support.

Work Location Requirement: This role requires working onsite at the F5 Tower in downtown Seattle a minimum of four days per week, subject to business needs. In-office requirements may be adjusted in accordance with F5 workplace policies and business needs.

The annual base pay for this position is: $58,600.00 - $87,800.00F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
