About this role

Job Title: Specialist Podiatrist – Community Services
Banding: Band 6 (Band 7 considered for candidates with exceptional and relevant clinical skills)
Location: Brighton
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6 weeks initially with option to extend
Hourly Rate: £25-31
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30–16:30

 

Job Overview

Pulse is currently seeking an experienced Podiatrist to work in Brighton. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a busy community podiatry team, providing high-quality care to patients with a range of podiatric needs across Brighton & Hove. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload including wound care, ulcer management, high-risk foot care, and new patient assessments. There may also be opportunities to support the supervision of BSc and MSc Podiatry students within the University of Brighton clinical environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver assessment and treatment for high-risk, routine, and diabetic foot patients.
  • Provide wound care and ulcer management in community clinic settings.
  • Conduct new patient assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Undertake occasional domiciliary visits and travel between satellite clinics.
  • Support the education and supervision of podiatry students where required.

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • HCPC registered Podiatrist.
  • Experience in wound care and ulcer management.
  • Experience managing high-risk and routine podiatry patients.
  • Competence in new patient assessments and treatment planning.
  • Experience managing diabetic patients (desirable).
  • SystmOne experience and a valid NHS Smartcard (essential).
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance.
  • Willingness to travel between community clinic locations.
