About this role

We are seeking a Precision Machinist to set up, operate, and maintain a variety of manual and CNC machine tools. Located in the heart of the Pasadena/Deer Park industrial corridor, you will play a critical role in fabricating, modifying, and repairing precision components, machine tools, and heavy industrial rotating machinery.

Whether you specialize in manual lathes, vertical/horizontal boring mills, or CNC machining, this role offers steady work, dynamic projects, and a safety-first shop culture.

What You’ll Do

  • Machining & Setup: Set up and operate manual lathes, milling machines, and/or CNC equipment to produce high-precision parts and instruments within tight tolerances.

  • Blueprint & Tolerance Interpretation: Read and interpret complex engineering blueprints, schematics, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).

  • Precision Measurement: Use precision measuring tools—including micrometers, dial indicators, depth gauges, and calipers—to verify dimensions and ensure 100% quality compliance.

  • Maintenance & Repair Support: Fabricate replacement components, modify existing parts, and assist with equipment repair and maintenance.

  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to shop safety protocols, HSE work instructions, and quality control standards.

What We’re Looking For

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.

  • Machining Experience: 4+ years of overall relevant machining experience (with a minimum of 2+ years operating manual lathes, milling machines, or CNC mills/lathes in an industrial manufacturing or repair shop environment).

  • Technical Skills: Strong background in applied shop math, mechanics, metal properties/metallurgy, and layout procedures.

  • Tools & Gauges: Proficiency with precision measurement equipment and blueprint reading.

  • Mindset: Strong work ethic, attention to detail, clear communication, and a team-first attitude.
