Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance tasks such as painting, electrical repairs, equipment servicing, and landscaping.
- Work autonomously while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
- Maintain the buildings and common areas in optimal condition.
- Coordinate with the Store Manager for daily maintenance activities.
- Request necessary parts promptly to address maintenance needs.
- Conduct routine checks on diesel, gas, water levels, and prepaid meter readings.
- Inspect and maintain store electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Monitor cold room and walk-in freezer temperatures at hourly intervals.
- Ensure the safety and functionality of all maintenance tools, equipment, and parts.
- Address and resolve maintenance complaints in a timely manner.
- Adhere to and execute preventive maintenance schedules.
- Perform emergency repairs as needed.
- Inspect and repair mechanical systems to maintain compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain electrical systems, including replacing bulbs, sockets, and repairing circuit breakers.
- Assist in the installation and repair of ventilation, refrigeration, heating, and plumbing systems.
- Conduct manual repairs such as fixing locks and replacing windows.
- Perform general upkeep tasks, including painting, carpentry, and landscaping.
- Execute any other duties as assigned by the Line Manager.
Qualifications
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Experience in general maintenance and repair processes.
- Proficiency in using tools, appliances, and maintenance equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and manual dexterity.
- Good physical condition and ability to work extended hours when required.
