Job Description
This role is a sales account executive position within Visa Acceptance Solutions and the Andean Value Added Services organization. The Manager will be responsible for driving the expansion of Visa Acceptance solutions across Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, and Venezuela through consultative sales, business development, strategic account planning, pipeline management, and client relationship development.
The role will support the execution of the Acceptance business strategy across the Andean region, partnering closely with local, regional, and global stakeholders to achieve sales, revenue, and client adoption targets. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, developing, managing, and closing complex sales opportunities across the payments ecosystem.
This position requires strong commercial acumen, solution-selling capabilities, and the ability to engage effectively with business, product, technology, operations, and executive stakeholders. The candidate must be comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple opportunities, cross-functional teams, and strategic client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve sales, revenue, and implementation targets defined for the Andean region.
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities across Visa Acceptance Solutions.
- Manage the end-to-end sales process, including opportunity qualification, business case development, commercial negotiation, contracting, and client onboarding.
- Develop account strategies, financial models, and commercial proposals to support business growth objectives.
- Drive adoption of Acceptance solutions across acquirers, processors, fintechs, payment service providers, merchants, and ecosystem partners.
- Maintain a strong understanding of Visa Acceptance products, market trends, competitive dynamics, and industry developments.
- Partner closely with Product, Finance, Legal, Client Services, Implementations, and regional sales teams to support sales execution and client success.
- Develop and maintain executive-level relationships within client organizations.
- Manage pipeline health, forecasting accuracy, governance processes, and sales reporting requirements.
- Support the preparation and delivery of business cases, executive presentations, RFIs, RFPs, and commercial proposals.
- Actively contribute to the evolution of the Acceptance business strategy and go-to-market plans across the Andean region.
- Meet and exceed challenging quarterly and annual business objectives.
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in payments, acquiring, fintech, eCommerce, technology, or related industries, with a strong preference for experience in consultative sales, business development, or account management.
- Demonstrated success in driving new business development, managing complex sales cycles, and achieving revenue targets in B2B environments.
- Strong understanding of the payments ecosystem, including merchant acquiring, digital commerce, payment acceptance, processing, fraud and risk management, and value-added services.
- Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders across commercial, product, technology, operations, and executive teams.
- Experience selling complex and technical solutions, with a consultative approach focused on solving client business challenges.
- Ability to develop business cases, financial models, commercial proposals, and account growth strategies.
- Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to establish credibility and trust at multiple levels within client organizations.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other relevant postgraduate degree is a plus.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is required. Portuguese is a plus.
- Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and results orientation.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed, and multicultural environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with payment networks, acquirers, processors, fintechs, payment service providers, or technology platforms serving the payments ecosystem.
- Knowledge of card-present and card-not-present acceptance solutions.
- Experience managing regional opportunities across multiple markets.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms, pipeline management, forecasting, and sales governance processes.
