Our Finance Transformation team is looking for a Manager to join our Auckland office in our Technology and Transformation business!  

About the team 

Deloitte’s Finance Transformation consulting team helps our clients develop leading finance functions and increase value for their key stakeholders. Our team comprises a range of expertise including finance strategy and operating model design including Finance AI, planning budgeting and forecasting, operational process improvement, and the design and implementation of cloud Enterprise Performance Management solutions. We are looking for an experienced Manager to join our team in Auckland to work with our clients to develop and deliver advisory solutions to their key challenges. 

This role is ideal for a proven finance transformation professional who can lead complex engagements, build trusted client relationships, develop high-performing teams, and contribute to the growth of our practice. 

Job Description

What will your typical day look like?  

As a Manager within our Finance Transformation team, you will lead client engagements and transformation workstreams, guiding organisations through complex finance and business change initiatives. 

You will: 

  • Lead end-to-end finance transformation projects across assessment, design, implementation, and change phases. 
  • Partner with finance leadership teams to design future-state finance operating models that improve efficiency, scalability, governance, and service delivery. 
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder interviews to assess current processes and identify opportunities for improvement. 
  • Lead process transformation initiatives across Source-to-Pay, Procure-to-Pay, Accounts Payable, Treasury, Record-to-Report, and related finance processes. 
  • Support ERP and digital transformation programmes, including SAP S/4HANA, Oracle, SAP Ariba, ServiceNow, and other finance technologies. 
  • Design future-state process flows, controls frameworks, governance models, and operating procedures. 
  • Drive standardisation, automation, centralisation, and shared services initiatives to improve finance function performance. 
  • Manage project delivery, budgets, resources, risks, and quality outcomes across multiple engagements. 
  • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and provide practical recommendations aligned to business objectives. 
  • Contribute to proposal development, business development activities, and growth initiatives across the Finance Transformation practice. 
  • Coach and develop consultants and senior consultants while fostering a high-performing team culture. 

This role combines strategic advisory work with hands-on transformation delivery, requiring both finance process expertise and strong stakeholder management capability.

Your skills which set you apart from the crowd: 

We're looking for candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Between 2-6 years experience in Finance Transformation, Finance Advisory, Technology Transformation, Consulting, or a related finance leadership role.
  • Between 2-6 years experience leading finance transformation engagements within a consulting Big-4 environment.
  • Strong understanding of finance operating models, shared services, global business services, and finance process design.
  • Expertise across Source-to-Pay, Procure-to-Pay, Accounts Payable, Treasury, Record-to-Report, Financial Controls, and related finance processes.
  • Experience supporting ERP or finance technology transformation programmes, including SAP, Oracle, Ariba, ServiceNow.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse current-state processes and design future-state operating models and workflows.
  • Proven stakeholder management experience, including working directly with senior finance and business leaders.
  • CANZ Qualified or the international equivalent
  • Experience leading teams, managing project delivery, and mentoring junior team members.
  • Strong commercial acumen and business development capability.
  • Excellent communication, workshop facilitation, and presentation skills.
