As a LATAM Manager Information Technology, you will play a key role in leading and supporting Cat Financial IT resources in Mexico, ensuring strong alignment with regional business priorities, enterprise IT standards, and global delivery expectations.
This is a unique opportunity to combine people leadership, operational execution, and regional influence while enabling high-quality IT services for Cat Financial across Mexico and the broader LATAM region.
What You Will Do:
Shape Talent & Workforce Strategy: Develop a scalable workforce strategy, strengthen local talent pipelines, and lead early-career programs and team development.
Drive IT Delivery & Operational Excellence: Oversee application development, IT support, and service delivery while ensuring quality, business alignment, and continuous improvement.
Enable Compliance & Local Governance: Advise global leaders on Mexico labor requirements and partner with HR, Talent Acquisition, and Legal to ensure compliance, onboarding, and consistent workforce practices.
Lead Vendor & Sourcing Strategy: Define sourcing and third-party engagement strategies, manage vendors, and ensure performance across quality, cost, and delivery.
Enhance Employee Experience & Culture: Strengthen employee experience, engagement, retention, and inclusive collaboration in alignment with Caterpillar values.
Build Capabilities for the Future: Develop Centers of Excellence and specialized capabilities in Cloud, Cybersecurity, Data, and Infrastructure to support the hub’s long-term growth.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
Expert managing IT teams, application development, or IT service delivery
Advanced English
Skills:
Core Application Systems: Manages core applications, integrations, enhancements, lifecycle strategies, and business impacts.
Information Technology Trends: Evaluates emerging technologies and applies relevant trends to strategic IT initiatives.
Relationship Management: Builds trusted, long-term partnerships, aligns expectations, and drives transparent collaboration with clients and vendors.
Talent Management: Develops talent pipelines, career paths, onboarding, succession, and long-term growth opportunities.
Leadership: Adapts leadership style, motivates teams, provides effective feedback, and leads with integrity and accountability.
Vendor/Supplier Management: Manages vendor relationships, service quality, delivery performance, issue resolution, and contract expectations.
IT Service Management (ITSM): Leads scalable IT service processes, standards, implementation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement aligned with business needs.
Top Candidates Will Have:
Experience building, supporting, or leading IT teams in a regional delivery model
Knowledge of the Mexico IT talent market and labor regulations
Experience in workforce planning, recruiting strategy, and talent development
Experience managing vendors and third-party service models
Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence across regions and functions
Exposure to IT Service Management (ITSM) and enterprise IT environments
Additional Information
Location: Corporativo Santa Maria, Monterrey, Nuevo León
Work Model: Five days per week in-office
Travel: Up to 10% of domestic and/or international travel
Requirements: Valid passport and U.S. visa
