Key Responsibilities:

Cross-Border Sales Strategy:

  • Develop and execute strategies to expand cross-border sales and market penetration.
  • Identify target markets and customer segments for international expansion.
  • Conduct market research to analyze customer preferences, competition, and trends in different countries.
  • Develop pricing strategies and promotional campaigns to attract international customers.

Logistics and Supply Chain Management:

  • Optimize logistics and supply chain operations for international shipments.
  • Coordinate with shipping carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure timely and cost effective delivery of goods.
  • Manage inventory planning, allocation, and replenishment for cross-border trade.
  • Monitor and mitigate risks associated with international shipping, such as customs delays or trade compliance issues.

International Trade Compliance:

  • Stay updated with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and export/import laws.
  • Ensure compliance with trade regulations, including product classification, country of origin labeling, and customs documentation.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to develop and implement trade compliance programs.
  • Conduct periodic audits and assessments to ensure adherence to international trade regulations.

Partnerships and Vendor Management:

  • Identify and onboard strategic partners, distributors, or agents in target markets.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with international suppliers, manufacturers, and service providers.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors and partners.
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure alignment with quality standards and delivery requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, sales, finance, and operations, to align cross border trade strategies with overall business goals.
  • Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams in implementing international trade initiatives.
  • Coordinate with marketing teams to localize marketing campaigns and product positioning for international markets.
  • Work closely with finance teams to manage foreign currency exchange, tax considerations, and financial reporting for cross-border transactions.

Performance Analysis and Reporting:

  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for cross-border trade, including sales revenue, conversion rates, customer acquisition costs, and return on investment.
  • Generate regular reports and present insights to management on the performance of cross-border trade initiatives.
  • Identify areas for improvement and recommend strategies to optimize performance and drive growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Business, or a related field (MBA or relevant certification is a plus).
  • Proven experience in cross-border trade management within an e-commerce or retail environment.
  • Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs compliance, and logistics operations.
  • Familiarity with cross-border e-commerce platforms, payment gateways, and marketplace dynamics.
  • Excellent understanding of supply chain management, inventory planning, and demand forecasting.
  • Experience in negotiating and managing contracts with international vendors and partners.
  • Analytical skills to monitor performance metrics, conduct market research, and derive actionable insights.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills to handle multiple initiatives and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
  • Fluency in multiple languages is desirable, especially those relevant to target markets.
