Agropur is seeking a Manager, Electrical Regulatory Compliance to establish and lead its corporate electrical compliance program across Quebec.
Acting as Agropur's representative with the Régie du bâtiment du Québec (RBQ), this individual will play a key role in ensuring compliance for electrical work performed internally while contributing to the standardization of electrical practices, technical documentation governance, and capital investment projects across our manufacturing facilities.
This position combines technical leadership, field engagement, and cross-functional collaboration with maintenance, engineering, automation, and project teams to ensure safe, compliant, and standardized electrical installations throughout the organization.

- Salary range 007: 118,000$ to 147,500$ (Salary will be determined based on skills, education, training & experience related to the position.)
Where you will drive value:
- Act as Agropur's corporate representative with the Régie du bâtiment du Québec (RBQ).
- Develop, implement, and maintain the organization's electrical compliance program.
- Manage regulatory reporting, required documentation, records, and communications with relevant authorities.
- Ensure compliance of electrical work performed across Quebec facilities.
- Promote adherence to electrical safety standards, regulatory requirements, and Agropur engineering standards.
- Ensure personnel involved in electrical work possess the required qualifications and competencies.
- Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance managers, plant engineers, and project teams on electrical infrastructure matters.
- Develop and maintain a corporate document management structure for electrical drawings and technical documentation.
- Ensure electrical drawings, revisions, and redlines are properly updated, controlled, and standardized.
- Oversee the maintenance of short-circuit studies, arc flash labeling, and associated electrical documentation.
- Collaborate with CAPEX teams on the planning and execution of electrical and automation-related projects, including facility upgrades, expansions, and modifications.
- Support the evaluation and implementation of solutions that improve system reliability, safety, and performance.
- Partner with local plant representatives to ensure proper documentation and tracking of electrical interventions.
- Drive the adoption of standardized processes and best practices across Quebec facilities.
- Identify opportunities to improve the reliability, maintainability, and standardization of electrical and automation systems.
- Serve as a key resource for operational, engineering, and external stakeholders to ensure consistent electrical practices across the organization.
What will enable you to have an impact:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- Licensed Professional Engineer and member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
- Minimum of five years of experience in industrial electrical systems, automation, or a related field within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Hands-on experience with industrial electrical systems, maintenance, automation, or project execution.
- Ability to obtain the qualification required to act as Agropur's designated RBQ guarantor.
- Previous RBQ-related experience or certification is considered an asset.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, applicable safety standards, and Quebec electrical regulations.
- Ability to read, interpret, and review electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Experience with technical document control, standardization, or change management is considered an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English (English is required to collaborate with colleagues across Canada).
- Availability to travel regularly to Agropur facilities across Quebec.
