The position operates within a complex landscape across multiple asset classes, legal entities, and jurisdictions. The Manager will help execute and maintain fund-level wire activity, including adherence to wire standards, template management, approvals, and escalations, working under the guidance of senior Treasury leadership. This role helps ensure wires supporting capital activity, investment funding, expenses, and credit facilities are executed accurately, securely, and in compliance with fund documents, internal controls, and evolving banking standards.

Core Responsibilities

  • Serve as final approver and an escalation point for fund level wire activity, including capital calls, distributions, investment funding, fund expenses, and credit facility related payments
  • Apply and help maintain fund accounting standards governing wire preparation, independent review, approval, release, and escalation
  • Support wire template and instruction governance, including creation, validation, modification, recertification, and centralized auditability
  • Uphold internal controls and segregation of duties across wire preparation, review, approval, and release, including adherence to tiered approval frameworks for material or high-risk payments
  • Assist with the wire escalation and incident management process for failed, rejected, delayed, misapplied, or nonstandard wires, serving as a day-to-day point of contact with banks and coordinating with Legal, Compliance, and Risk as needed
  • Support Fund Accounting Treasury readiness for ISO 20022, including updates to wire templates, data standards, controls, and downstream processes to support enhanced reconciliation, transparency, and audit requirements
  • Help maintain and enhance wire control frameworks to ensure fund wire activity is fully traceable, documented, reviewable, and aligned with SOX and audit expectations
  • Partner with Treasury Systems and Technology Enablement to support standardization, automation, and scaling of wire workflows, reducing manual risk while supporting growth across asset classes and fund structures
  • Coordinate with Investment Operations to maintain visibility into the deal pipeline, supporting treasury readiness for upcoming closings, capital calls, distributions, and complex transaction structures
  • Coordinate with Credit Operations and Cash Flow teams to help plan, fund, and execute deal-related cash movements, including drawdowns, paydowns, FX execution, and closing wires, while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to internal controls
  • Support foreign exchange (FX) activity related to fund-level capital calls, distributions, investment funding, and expenses, ensuring alignment with fund structures, currencies, and settlement timing
  • Partner with Investment Operations, Fund Accounting, and Credit Operations to help assess and execute FX strategies, including spot FX, hedging decisions, and timing considerations tied to capital activity and liquidity needs
  • Support fund-level hedging activity, where applicable, including coordination of hedging execution, settlement, and counterparty communication, while ensuring appropriate documentation and control alignment.
  • Assist in the assessment and optimization of banking and payment costs, including wire fees, FX spreads, and ancillary bank charges
  • Support day-to-day banking relationships as they relate to fund-level treasury operations, including payment rails, FX capabilities, service levels, and issue resolution
  • Help evaluate banking products, services, and pricing models to support a scalable, cost-effective, and well-controlled fund-level treasury infrastructure
  • Support special projects and acquisitions as assigned and needed

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in treasury operations and wire processing
  • Prior experience within private equity or private markets is preferred; candidates with general corporate treasury/wire processing experience a must
  • Familiarity with wire governance, payment controls, and banking standards (e.g., ISO 20022) preferred
  • Experience with fund accounting concepts (capital calls, distributions, NAV) a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and understanding of internal controls/segregation of duties in a payments environment
