About the role:
As a Manager in Portfolio Management, you are at the forefront of our digital-native fund operations, working closely with third-party investment advisors to streamline the investment process. You play a pivotal role in reviewing investment recommendations and documents, ensuring transaction compliance, and collaborating with our Risk Management, Valuation, and Compliance Departments to mitigate risks. You present your insightful analyses to the investment committee, oversee investment compliance, and shape our internal policies.
In this position, you update fund documentation, produce quarterly performance reports, manage regulatory changes, and enhance our innovative internal framework. Additionally, you prepare comprehensive reports for governance bodies and stay ahead of regulatory developments through close interaction with our Compliance team and external advisors.
This position is based in Luxembourg and reports directly to the Conducting Officer in charge of Portfolio Management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Portfolio Management Oversight:
- Ensure the portfolio management processes align with fund documentation and PM policies, including updates to marketing materials (e.g., Priips/KID).
- Review and approve all portfolio management sections in investor-facing documents to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Investment Process Coordination:
- Collaborate with third-party investment advisors on portfolio management activities and the investment process.
- Collect and review supporting documents for investment decisions, ensuring completeness and adherence to requirements.
- Organise and lead the Investment Committee (IC) meetings, including preparing agendas, presenting analyses, and minuting decisions. Follow up on action items from previous meetings.
- Transaction Analysis:
- Review investment recommendations, due diligence reports, investment memoranda, business plans, and transaction legal documents from a portfolio management perspective.
- Assess the compliance of transactions with fund constitutive documents and internal policies.
- Work with Risk Management, Valuation, and Compliance teams to identify and mitigate risks.
- Monitoring and Reporting:
- Monitor ongoing compliance of investments with regulations and fund documentation.
- Create and present quarterly reports on performance figures, key performance indicators (KPIs), and risk indicators to internal and external stakeholders (e.g., Executive Committee, IC, Board of Managers).
- Governance and Documentation:
- Draft, review, and update internal policies and procedures related to portfolio management.
- Update fund documentation as needed for portfolio management topics.
- Prepare reports for fund governing bodies and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Regulatory and Framework Enhancements:
- Stay updated on regulatory changes, working closely with Compliance and external advisors.
- Strengthen the internal framework by standardising practices and fostering innovation in collaboration with other departments.
- Manage the implementation of new products and associated internal and external requirements.
Requirements

- Ability to evaluate complex investment documents, assess compliance with fund policies and regulations, and identify embedded risks while proposing actionable insights.
- Precision in reviewing transaction documents, updating fund materials, and ensuring all processes adhere to regulatory and procedural standards to avoid errors and maintain accuracy.
- Strong collaboration skills to effectively liaise with third-party advisors, internal teams (Risk, Compliance, Valuation), and governing bodies to manage expectations and ensure alignment.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of portfolio management regulations and fund documentation (e.g., Priips/KID) while staying flexible to adapt to evolving regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Clear and concise reporting and presentation skills to convey investment analyses, performance figures, and risk indicators effectively during Investment Committee meetings and governance discussions.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, coordinate investment processes, and implement decisions and updates in a timely and organised manner, ensuring operational efficiency.
