About this role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the development and execution of large-scale Green Hydrogen & Green Ammonia projects. The role will cover HV systems, high-capacity substations, utility-scale solar PV, grid interconnection, and electrical distribution for Hydrogen–Ammonia plants from FEED through commissioning.

Key Responsibilities
    • Lead/review electrical engineering for HV/MV systems and ~400 MVA class substations, including transformers, switchgear, protection, metering, bus arrangements and grid interconnection.
    • Develop/review electrical architecture for ~300 MW utility-scale PV Solar Park, including PV DC systems, central/string inverters, MV collection systems, transformers, cables, grounding, SCADA/PPC and plant controls.
    • Develop/review H₂–NH₃ plant power distribution, including Electrolyser/rectifier systems, transformers, MCCs, VFDs, motors, compressors, pumps, ASU, ammonia synthesis/refrigeration and utilities.
    • Review SLDs, load lists, load flow, short-circuit, protection coordination, motor starting, harmonic, arc-flash and grounding studies.
    • Prepare/review electrical specifications, datasheets, equipment sizing and technical bid evaluations for major electrical equipment.
    • Review EPC/OEM engineering deliverables, drawings, calculations, vendor documents and technical deviations; identify gaps and design optimization opportunities.
    • Coordinate electrical interfaces between PV, grid/substation, Electrolyser, hydrogen, ammonia and utility systems.
    • Support FAT, inspection, construction, commissioning, energization and troubleshooting activities.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable IEC, IEEE, NFPA, NEC/ANSI and utility/grid standards.
Required Qualifications & Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Power Systems specialization is an advantage.
    • 8–15 years of relevant experience in large industrial, renewable energy, process plant or utility projects.
    • Strong hands-on experience in HV/MV power systems, substations, transformers, protection and industrial power distribution.
    • Experience with 100 MW+ utility-scale solar PV projects.
    • Experience working with EPC contractors, OEMs and engineering consultants.
    • Experience in Green Hydrogen, Green Ammonia, Electrolyser, oil & gas or petrochemical projects is highly desirable.
    • Working knowledge of ETAP, PowerFactory, PSS/E or equivalent is preferred.
    • US electrical codes/grid requirements experience is an advantage.
Key Competencies
    • Strong electrical engineering fundamentals and ability to technically challenge EPC/OEM designs.
    • Ability to understand interfaces between renewable generation, HV grid infrastructure, Electrolyser power supply and process-plant electrical systems.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and project coordination skills.
    • Commercially aware with ability to identify cost optimization without compromising reliability, safety or performance.
    • Willingness to travel to project sites and international locations as required.
