Onsite – Torrance, CA

Our team at Moog’s Military Aircraft Group is looking for a Manufacturing Product Finishing Operator to join them. You will report to our Performance Leader and will have an onsite work schedule in Torrance, CA.

To be considered, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division

  • 3 months or more of experience in deburring or finishing, in an aerospace machine shop environment preferred

  • Fine motor skills with keen attention to detail

  • Basic computer program skills (Windows, Word, Outlook)

As a Finishing Operator, you will:

  • Perform required bench and machine operations to clean, polish, break edges, form radii, blend defects, remove contamination, excess material, flash, and detect unusual defects in material or workmanship

  • Work from operation sheets, blueprints, sketches, and plastic bodies to plan entire sequence of work performed

  • Select, sharpen, and make special tooling as required, and selecting lighting aids, inspection gages, and visual magnification as required in order to meet quality specifications

  • Excellent visual acuteness and eye/hand coordination are required to perform the job

  • Exceptional attention to detail to visually inspect one’s own work to ensure that parts meet the quality and quantity required, as well as being able to detect abnormalities and reacting them

  • Ability to work with small parts to perform all finishing and detail work on parts

Salary Range Transparency:

Torrance, CA $20.00–$30.00 Hourly

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
