Phillips Edison’s operating platform provides retail services including acquisition, redevelopment, leasing and management of grocery-anchored retail centers.

What you’ll do:

The Marketing Intern will work directly with all members of the marketing team. You will be a contributing member of a small, powerful team that serves as the company’s in-house creative agency and gain exposure to the exciting world of commercial real estate.

  • Assist in identifying, planning, and implementing new communications, marketing, and promotional campaign strategies

  • Create and curate content for the company’s social media sites

  • Create and curate content for company’s internal communications

  • Conduct data analysis for social media performance

  • Work on digital media and web projects including but not limited to SEO, Facebook Marketing, and Google ads that support the sales team’s efforts to sign new tenants

  • Additional duties as assigned

What you’ll learn:

Throughout the internship term this role provides the student with the following:

  • Executing a marketing strategy that supports the company’s brand and the various business units

  • Hands-on experience working on real solutions that impact that company with direct access to the Associate VP of Marketing & Communications and the Chief Marketing Officer

  • Learn or further develop the process of documenting work performed on projects and communicating effectively with supervisors and company personnel

  • Further develop skills required to interact with other professionals at varying levels of the company

  • Further develop time management skills and the ability to be responsible for more than one project at a time

What we’re looking for:

  • A current undergraduate student who is able to work full-time and in person during the semester

  • A current university student enrolled in a degree seeking program studying Marketing or another related field with a minimum GPA of 3.0

  • Demonstrated leadership experience and prior marketing internship experience preferred

  • Marketing savvy and creativity

  • Proven social media skills

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently, with direction and guidance, and on a team

  • Excellent organizational skills with proven ability to balance multiple priorities at once with attention to detail

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and Adobe Creative Suite

  • Experience with marketing automation systems like HubSpot highly desirable
